adequate stay with some shortcomings
small room poor water pressure
the small double room proved smaller than expected. it barely accommodated a suitcase. additionally, shower water pressure was poor. water dripped from the shower head and it intermittently stopped. this made showering difficult.

dirty carpet unemptied bin
the staff was friendly and helpful. the location was GOOD.
the room wasn't very clean, stains marred the carpet. cushions also had STAINS. the bin had not been emptied, which i found quite disappointing.

easy walk delicious breakfast helpful staff members warm hotel
The location allowed an easy walk to town. Breakfast included many options and tasted delicious. Staff members were helpful. The hotel felt warm and inviting and it was very comfy and tidy.
The garden was very small but big enough to service the dogs

generally adequate stay
helpful staff high-quality food convenient parking room resemblance dated decor outside access
i found victor at reception quite pleasant upon arrival. victor took care of us again at breakfast, he was helpful and chirpy. the food was of high quality and it did not take long to arrive. the car park was very convenient i appreciated that.
the room we were allocated did not resemble the photos and information we saw online. we were not given a room in the house it seemed. instead, we were given a room in an addition to the house accessed from the car park and outside the main house. it had none of the comforts advertised online the decor was very dated.

stained carpet no reply
the room felt quite cramped. i think it was a standard double room, but it felt more like a small double. there were stains on the carpet (they were quite visible) and the bathroom bin was not emptied when i arrived. also, i emailed them about this afterwards but i never received a reply back.

The breakfast room was comfortable. The hotel has good communal areas. Staff was very friendly and helpful, I was thankful for that.
The bathroom radiator did not work. It also was covered in dust. The bathroom door would not close as it was catching the frame. Some electrical appliances lacked PAT tests.
